Early voting continues through Sunday, Nov. 1, for residents of Plymouth, Plymouth Township and Canton Township ahead of the Nov. 3 general election.

Voters must use the location serving their city or township. The three communities have separate sites, according to the Wayne County Clerk’s early-voting list.

City of Plymouth

City residents can vote at the Plymouth Cultural Center, 525 Farmer St., from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily through Nov. 1.

The city’s Oct. 24 notice confirms the location and hours. All four city precincts also use the Cultural Center on Election Day, according to the city’s elections FAQ.

Plymouth Township

Township residents vote at Plymouth Township Hall, 9955 N. Haggerty Road, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily through Nov. 1, according to the township’s elections page.

Canton Township

Canton residents vote at Summit on the Park, 46000 Summit Parkway.

Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Thursday, Oct. 29. They extend to 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, through Sunday, Nov. 1, according to the county list.

Registration and absentee ballots

Eligible residents who missed the Oct. 19 online and mail registration deadline can register in person at their local clerk’s office through 8 p.m. on Election Day with proof of residency. State eligibility requirements include living in their city or township for at least 30 days by Election Day, according to Michigan’s registration guidance.

Voters who have already returned an absentee ballot should not cast another ballot.

Those who have not returned their absentee ballot can bring it to their assigned early-voting site. They may submit the completed ballot through the tabulator after verification or surrender it and receive a new ballot, according to the Michigan Secretary of State.

City of Plymouth voters with election questions can contact the clerk’s office at 734-453-1234, ext. 225 or 234. Township and Canton residents should contact their respective clerk’s offices.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters can confirm their assigned Election Day polling place at Michigan.gov/Vote.
