City of Plymouth voters who want an absentee ballot mailed to them must submit their application by 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30.

The Plymouth City Clerk’s Office announced the deadline Oct. 19. Applications can be delivered to City Hall, 201 S. Main St., or completed online through the Michigan Voter Information Center. Paper applications are also available at the clerk’s office.

The state recommends requesting an absentee ballot at least 15 days before Election Day to allow time to receive and return it, according to the Secretary of State. That recommended date was Monday, Oct. 19; applications remain available through the legal deadlines.

Voter registration

Monday, Oct. 19, was the last day to register online or by mail for the Nov. 3 election.

Starting Tuesday, Oct. 20, eligible residents must register in person at their local clerk’s office with proof of residency. Registration remains available through 8 p.m. on Election Day, according to state registration guidance.

In-person absentee voting

Voters already registered at their current address can apply for an absentee ballot in person at City Hall until 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2.

Voters who requested an absentee ballot but have not received it can submit a written request at the clerk’s office by that deadline to invalidate the missing ballot and receive a replacement, according to the city’s election notices.

Early voting and Election Day

City of Plymouth early voting will take place at the Plymouth Cultural Center, 525 Farmer St., from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily Saturday, Oct. 24, through Sunday, Nov. 1.

All City of Plymouth Election Day precincts will also vote at the Cultural Center on Tuesday, Nov. 3. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., according to the city’s election notices.
