Eighteen photographers from the Ann Arbor Camera Club will show their work at the Village Theater at Cherry Hill starting with a free opening reception Thursday, Aug. 27, from 6 to 8 p.m.

The exhibit, "Collective Expressions in Photography," fills the Gallery at Cherry Hill with an open-topic collection spanning landscape, portrait, wildlife, street, macro and sports photography in digital, film, color and black-and-white formats. It runs through Sept. 20.

Admission is free.

The club, which previously exhibited at the Canton venue, describes the work on display as images meant to be "emotionally provocative, visually stimulating, or just interesting to look at," according to Canton Township.

Founded in 1956 and based in Ann Arbor, the club draws members ranging from beginners to professional exhibitors working across all major photographic genres and formats.

Several exhibiting members took top honors in the club's 2026 Annual Competition. Nancy Hopwood won the President's Choice Award for a photograph titled "Kashmir Schoolgirl." Tom Egel earned multiple first-place finishes across digital and print categories, and Dietmar Haenchen, Gerri Barr and Regina Carriere each claimed category wins.

The Gallery at Cherry Hill is open to the public Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 4 to 8 p.m., during all public performances, or by appointment via email to [email protected].
