Canton shoppers will find more than 1,600 new products on the shelves at Busch's Fresh Food Market after the family-owned grocer completed a transformation of its center-store section at 225 Canton Center Road.

Busch's will mark the overhaul with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 4, followed by a 10-day promotional sale and vendor celebrations and community events planned through October, according to The Shelby Report.

"This investment reflects our long-term commitment to serving the Canton community by delivering the complete Busch's experience," said Bobby Turner, Busch's president and CEO.

The more than 1,600 new center-store items include expanded household, wellness and nutrition offerings. Busch's also realigned aisles to improve frozen department flow, upgraded center-store shelving, extended grocery aisles, relocated the Frozen Bakery next to the Bakery department and refinished the store's flooring. Busch's has not detailed which specific brands were added.

The Canton location opened in 2017 and was the last new store Busch's added to its chain, according to Social House News. The grocer operates 16 locations across Southeast Michigan, with headquarters in Ann Arbor. Founders Joe Busch and Charlie Mattis acquired two stores in Clinton and Saline in 1975.

The shelves are fuller.

The Canton refresh fits a pattern for the chain in 2026. Busch's reopened a renovated Rochester Hills store in March and announced plans to renovate its Ann Arbor Main Street location in May. The grocer also expanded its delivery footprint in July by joining Uber Eats across participating stores.

The ribbon cutting is open to the public at 10 a.m. Sept. 4 at 225 Canton Center Road.
