Kids and teens who paint, sculpt, photograph or craft now have a shot at selling their work alongside adult artists at Canton's annual ARToberfest festival this fall.
The Gallery at Cherry Hill is accepting applications for the Youth Art Fair, which will give selected young artists ages 6 to 18 their own table to display and sell original work during the Sept. 26 festival. Applications are due by Friday, Sept. 11, and all mediums are welcome.
Selected artists pay a $20 vendor setup fee that covers a table and chair at the fair. The opportunity gives Canton-area children and teenagers a chance to sell directly to the public at a community festival.
ARToberfest runs noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Village Theater at Cherry Hill, 50400 Cherry Hill Road. The event is a collaboration between the Canton Village Theater and the Village Arts Factory, located at 50755 Cherry Hill Road.
This year's festival marks a venue change. The 2025 edition was held at Preservation Park on Ridge Road and was billed as the third annual ARToberfest. The 2026 event moves to the Village Theater campus.
Beyond the Youth Art Fair, ARToberfest features Canton's 32nd Annual Fine Arts Exhibition, a Chalk Walk, fall activities, food trucks, and doughnuts and cider. Admission is free and open to the community.
Families interested in applying can visit the Canton Township civic alerts page or call the Village Theater at Cherry Hill at (734) 394-5300. Jennifer Collins at the Gallery at Cherry Hill coordinates arts programming at the venue.
