Canton Township's fourth annual ARToberfest returns to Cherry Hill Village on Saturday, Sept. 26, with free admission and a full afternoon of art, food and live music.

The family fall festival runs noon to 4 p.m. in and around Cherry Hill Village and at the Arts Warehouse at Cherry Hill, 50755 Cherry Hill Road. The Arts Warehouse and Canton Township co-present the event.

Programming spans an artisan marketplace, food trucks, cider and donuts, seasonal snacks, lawn games and fall-themed activities for children. Live entertainment is planned, though specific performers have not been announced.

The Cherry Hill Potters Guild will hold its fall exhibition and pottery sale inside the Arts Warehouse, offering handmade pieces for purchase. The guild also held a spring sale at the same venue in May.

Young artists get their own spotlight. The fourth Youth Art Fair features work by student artists ages 8 to 18.

"Each year, ARToberfest continues to evolve into an ideal fall destination," said Kevin Ryan, program director of the Arts Warehouse at Cherry Hill, in the event's press release.

The festival also marks the public opening of the 32nd annual Canton Fine Arts Exhibition, which showcases work by emerging and established Michigan artists in a range of media. According to Canton Township, the exhibition will be on display Sept. 23 through Oct. 30 at the Gallery at Cherry Hill inside the Village Theater and at the Arts Warehouse. An artist reception is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 8, from 6 to 8:30 p.m., with the main stage program at 6:30 p.m.
