Plymouth hockey fans will hear a new voice calling the action at USA Hockey Arena this fall. Andrew Mossbrooks, of Sunbury, Pa., has been hired as the National Team Development Program's multimedia communications specialist and will serve as the Voice of the NTDP, the program announced Tuesday, Aug. 25.
"I'm thrilled to join USA Hockey," Mossbrooks said. "I'm so thankful to all of the staff here at USA Hockey for welcoming me into a winning culture that puts people first. I can't wait for a great season of hockey here in Plymouth!"
Mossbrooks joins the NTDP after three seasons broadcasting for the American Hockey League's Rochester Americans, where he supported marketing efforts that helped the team win the AHL's Marketing Campaign of the Year Award in 2025-26, according to the announcement. He previously spent 2021 to 2023 as director of public relations and broadcasting for the ECHL's Cincinnati Cyclones, a stretch that included a finalist nod for the league's 2023 Public Relations/Media Director of the Year Award, and has also worked with the Peoria Rivermen of the SPHL and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights of the NAHL. He earned a bachelor's degree in broadcast communications from Millersville University in 2018.
Mossbrooks will make his on-air debut Saturday, Sept. 12, at the annual Play with Purpose charity game. The event honors Mitchel Kiefer, who was killed by a distracted driver, and raises money for local organizations working to combat distracted driving, according to last year's event announcement. Last year's game, the eighth edition, featured Team USA's Under-18 squad against the Youngstown Phantoms.
The game is played on the Mitchel Kiefer Memorial Rink, which underwent a summer-long renovation that began March 29, according to the arena's construction announcement. That newly resurfaced ice gets its first regular-season NTDP game Saturday, Oct. 3, when the U.S. Under-18 Team hosts Boston College in the Kroger College Series opener — Boston College's first trip to USA Hockey Arena, according to the season announcement.
The two programs headlining this season's college series, Boston College and the University of Michigan, have combined to produce 105 NTDP alumni, according to the season announcement.
Tickets are on sale now. Single-game seats for the 2026-27 season are $18 each when pre-purchased, with a Kroger College Series 6-Pack available for $100 and a Big Game Pack at $75, per the season announcement. Fans can purchase tickets online or call the USA Hockey Arena box office at 734-453-8400.
The arena has served as the NTDP's home since 2015, according to USA Hockey Arena's history, and was named the Plymouth Community Chamber of Commerce's 2025 Large Business of the Year.
In past years, doors for the Play with Purpose game have opened at 5 p.m. with puck drop at 6 p.m., according to last year's event listing.
