The Plymouth Wildcats held off the Canton Cobras 24-20 on Friday, Sept. 18, to claim the Park Champs title at Plymouth-Canton Educational Park, according to the Plymouth Football account on X.
The win pushed Plymouth to 3-1 on the season. It also gave the Wildcats bragging rights over both Canton and Salem in the annual three-way intra-park rivalry after Plymouth routed Salem 32-8 in Week 3.
Plymouth struck first. Quarterback Cullen Dixon connected with Kaiden Moore on a pass that set up a short Dixon touchdown run, putting the Wildcats ahead 7-0, according to an Instagram highlight reel posted after the game.
Wide receiver Andrae McSween turned in another big night for Plymouth. McSween, a two-way player who caught a 17-yard touchdown pass and recorded a tackle for loss in the Week 3 win over Salem, was singled out for his performance against Canton in the same highlight post.
Cobras pulled within four points by the final whistle, making it a 24-20 game. Canton's defense is anchored this season by defensive lineman and Grand Valley State University commit Zion Malone, and junior quarterback Dylan Parrish leads the Cobras' offense, according to Social House News coverage of Canton's season opener.
The Park Champs title carries extra weight this fall. Salem won the park championship for the first time in program history in 2025, beating Plymouth 27-20 and Canton 61-6. Plymouth's sweep of both park rivals reclaims the crown.
The Wildcats' lone loss this season came in Week 2, a 21-20 heartbreaker at Dearborn Fordson. They responded with back-to-back wins over Salem and Canton by a combined 56-28.
Plymouth's Week 5 opponent and game date have not been announced.
