Presale tickets are available for the Plymouth-Canton Vietnam Veterans’ annual BBQ rib dinner on Friday, Sept. 11.

The Plymouth-Canton Vietnam Veterans (VVA Chapter 528) will serve plates of spare ribs, mac and cheese, coleslaw, a roll with butter and a cookie from 3 to 6 p.m. at the E.G. Nick's Veterans Tent behind the restaurant in downtown Plymouth, according to the Plymouth Fall Festival activities page. The dinner falls on opening day of the three-day festival, which runs Sept. 11–13.

A community announcement on Patch by Bryan Bentley listed the presale price at $17 through Tuesday, Sept. 8. Tickets are available at the VFW Post, 1426 S. Mill St. in Plymouth. At the door on Sept. 11, plates cost $20.

All proceeds go directly to VVA Chapter 528.

E.G. Nick's owners Frank Agostini and Tony Belli are partnering with the veterans group on the dinner. Bentley described the pair as longtime supporters of local veterans who use the restaurant to bring people together and create opportunities to give back.

Rock-and-roll bands follow the dinner at the Veterans Tent, according to the event announcement. On the main Kellogg Park stage, The Killer Flamingos take the stage at 7 p.m. Friday, according to the festival schedule.

The rib dinner is one of several nonprofit food fundraisers across the festival weekend. Residents looking to eat their way through downtown Plymouth have options all three days.
