Canton families can walk a costumed trail through Heritage Park on Saturday, Oct. 10, stopping at more than 30 trick-or-treat stations along the way.
Canton Township Leisure Services is hosting the Trick or Treat Trail from 1 to 4 p.m. at Heritage Park, 1150 S. Canton Center Road. The event invites kids and families to dress up and collect treats at stations spread along the park's trail, according to the township's event listing.
Registration is required for trick-or-treaters. Registration costs $10 per person for Canton residents and $13 for non-residents. Adults who are not collecting treats do not need to register or pay.
The prices are lower than the 2025 event. Canton's Trick or Treat Trail on Oct. 4, 2025, charged $13 for residents and $16 for non-residents, according to a township news release from that year. That is a $3 drop per person for both groups.
Registration is available online through Canton Township Leisure Services. For questions, residents can contact Trick or Treat Story Trail Coordinator Evan Sweet at 734-394-5460 or [email protected].
Heritage Park will be busy that weekend. The night before the trail, Canton Township hosts its free Festival of Lights on Friday, Oct. 9, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the same location. Presented by the Partnership for the Arts and Humanities, the event features Indian cultural dancing, a DJ, Indian food, henna and a firework display.
Canton Township Leisure Services also has Pumpkin Patch in the Pool scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 17, at Summit on the Park.
