Four Canton Township zoning proposals remain in limbo heading into the Planning Commission's Aug. 17 work session, the first since the commission's Aug. 10 meeting was canceled without explanation.

Data center zoning rules, carwash standards, a daycare site plan and a fences ordinance have been pending since commissioners discussed them July 20. No official vote outcomes were posted after that session.

The Aug. 17 meeting is listed on the township calendar as a "Work Session" from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Township Board Room at 1150 S. Canton Center Road.

Whether commissioners can take formal votes during a work session, or will continue discussion only, is unclear from the posted listing.
