City of Plymouth residents must pay their 2026 summer tax bill by Monday, August 10, to avoid a penalty, according to a city notice published Tuesday, July 28.
Summer tax bills have been mailed. Residents who haven't received one can view and print a copy through the city's online property portal, BS&A Online, which also allows residents to search assessing records, look up utility billing, and pay taxes electronically.
The city's notice does not specify what penalty rate applies after the August 10 deadline.
How to pay
Checks must be made payable to the City of Plymouth. The city asks residents to use separate checks for tax and water bills.
In person or by mail: City Hall, 201 S. Main St., Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Drop boxes: The City Hall vestibule or the Plymouth District Library drive-thru. Do not put cash in drop boxes.
Online: The BS&A portal offers a current tax payment option for Plymouth properties.
City Hall partial closure Friday, July 31
Residents planning to visit City Hall later this week should note a partial closure. All city departments except the City Clerk's Office will shut down from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, July 31, for an employee appreciation luncheon. That includes the Treasurer's Office, where in-person tax payments are processed.
The Clerk's Office will stay open during that two-hour window to assist residents with matters related to the Tuesday, August 4, primary election. As we reported Monday, July 27, the city is encouraging absentee voters to use drop boxes rather than mail to return ballots before the primary.
Residents who need to make a tax payment on July 31 can still use either drop box location during the closure.
