Canton Township will switch online payment platforms Monday, Nov. 16. Existing InvoiceCloud automatic-payment users will need to re-register after the change.
The township is replacing its current InvoiceCloud system with a new platform powered by BS&A, according to a notice posted on the Canton Township website. The new portal will accept payments for water and sewer bills, property taxes, permits and inspections, and miscellaneous township invoices.
Residents who currently use InvoiceCloud for automatic payments will have their payment information and auto-pay preferences transferred to the new system. They will still need to re-register their accounts after Nov. 16 by visiting BS&A’s registration page.
The notice does not explain the reason for the switch.
The BS&A platform accepts eChecks from checking or savings accounts with no service fee. Credit and debit card payments through Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express will carry a service fee, though the notice does not specify the amount.
For comparison, the township’s current online payments page shows InvoiceCloud charges a $4.50 service fee on card payments for water bills, with a $500 maximum per card transaction.
Google Pay and Apple Pay will also be available through the new platform. Residents will also be able to make payments by phone at 734-390-4313.
The township’s online payments page lists Dian Slavens as township treasurer. The Water Billing office at 1150 S. Canton Center Road is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and can be reached at 734-394-5240.
Registration guides and transition updates are available on the township’s online payments page.
