The eastbound I-94 ramp to northbound M-10 (Lodge Freeway) closed Monday, Sept. 14, and will remain shut until Monday, Sept. 28, at 5 p.m., the Michigan Department of Transportation's Metro Detroit office announced. The MDOT announcement did not name the construction project behind the closure or provide a detour route.
The ramp shutdown is one of several active closures in the area. The northbound M-39 (Southfield Road) ramp to eastbound I-94 is also closed through Oct. 23 at 6 p.m., according to MDOT.
A separate, larger effort called Restore 94 is rebuilding the expressway from east of I-275 to west of Michigan Avenue, The News Herald reported. That project began in spring 2026 and is expected to finish in summer 2028.
Drivers can check real-time construction updates and detour information on MDOT's Mi Drive website.
