Salem High School has a new assistant principal: Reagan Chuang, a math educator with nearly a decade of classroom experience.

Plymouth-Canton Community Schools announced the appointment on Wednesday, Sept. 30. Chuang joins a Salem leadership team that includes Principal Amy Willacker-Brown and assistant principals Angel Lett and Tara Ulrich.

The appointment is the latest in a series of administrative changes across the Plymouth-Canton Educational Park (P-CEP) campus this fall. As we reported Sept. 29, the district named Sonya Williams as an assistant principal at Plymouth High. Willacker-Brown herself moved into the Salem principal role for the 2026-27 school year. She had served as an assistant principal at Plymouth High during the 2025-26 year, according to the Wayne County Regional Educational Service Agency directory.

Chuang spent nearly nine years as a math teacher and department head at Arbor Preparatory High School in Ypsilanti. He built his career in the classroom before shifting into curriculum work.

He most recently served as a math curriculum and instruction specialist with National Heritage Academies, where he developed curriculum and worked with school leaders on math instruction and classroom practices. He also completed an administration internship at Arbor Prep.

Chuang holds a Bachelor of Science in statistics from the University of Michigan and a Master of Arts in secondary education from Grand Canyon University. He earned his Michigan School Administrator Certificate after completing the Path to Leadership program through the Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals (MASSP).

The district described Chuang as a collaborative, growth-oriented leader with experience across a range of school communities. The announcement highlighted his background in teaching, curriculum development, instructional coaching and school leadership.

Salem serves about 1,905 students at the P-CEP campus on Joy Road in Canton. The campus houses three high schools, including Canton High and Plymouth High, and enrolls roughly 5,900 students total.

The P-CCS Board of Education typically meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at the E.J. McClendon Educational Center, 454 S. Harvey St. in Plymouth.
